I have officially decided to turn this whole "blogging" thing into somewhat of a fashion journal. Fashion is growing on my like a weed, a nice one that you would like to have around. So I found myself particularly interested in the Alice+Olivia line from Stacey Bendet. I love the neutral meets lounge meets feminine meets unique details. Needless to say, I have been inspired. Hopefully some sketches and further research will ensue!

The picture of the mess of me in my room is my outfit today. Nothing exciting: Earrings from my mom's 80's jewelry collection, Old Navy clearance scarf, old t-shirt from who knows where, J-Crew clearance Matchstick Jeans, and Black boots from...I have no clue where.

The other two pictures were from a day by the river with some friends goofing around with lenses and edits and such.

On a non-fashion note, I just finished watching Paris, Je T'Aime. bah, cute cute. My favorite quote was:
"Zarka: You're even worse at this than getting girls.
Franois: My friends do that stuff, not me.
Zarka: They're pathetic.
Franois: You have beautiful hair, why do you have to cover it up?
Zarka: I don't have to. I choose to.
Franois: Too bad, 'cause you're so pretty.
Zarka: You mean I'm not beautiful in my hijab?
Franois: [laughs] That's not what I meant.
Zarka: You and your friends don't know shit about women. Why talk to them like that? When you can see they don't like it? If I want to look beautiful, I do it for me. When I wear this I feel part of a faith, an identity. I feel good. That's what beauty is. Tell that to your friends. Then maybe one day, they might even get laid."

Okay, I lied. My SECOND favorite quote:
"There are times when life calls out
for a change. A transition. Like the seasons."

If you have yet to see this movie I would definitely suggest it for a late, hot tea, stay in your pajamas until you melt kind of night.

Other than the movie viewing with my roommate and gay best friend, my day was morosely uneventful. But that's okay, tomorrow I'm going home to Atlanta to see my baby, and by my baby I mean my puppy. Oh yeah, and my family. It's sad when you miss your dog almost on the caliber of missing your family.

Lastly, if you are reading this:
I know there's not much here as of now(school and family are first priority) but it's going to get there. Have faith, and thanks for taking the time to read thus far. Hope life is more than pleasing.
